Improved Rat Rig V-Core 3 XY joiners. The standard joiners use the bolts that bolt through the idlers to also clamp the XY joiners to the steel plate underneath attached to the linear rail carriage. They are doing two jobs but perhaps should only be doing one. If you decide to contribute to my coffee fund to keep me up late at night doing more of this stuff I would appreciate this, but there is absolutely no obligation for you to do this. My PayPal account is liam@fastbikegear.co.nz If you clamp the bolts up hard enough to have a secure connection to the steel plate you end up risking pre-tensioning the bearings in the idlers....which is sub optimal and could lead to early bearing failure. The bearings are not designed to be loaded in this direction. This mod uses the cap screws (albeit longer) that hold the printed part to the X rail to also provide the clamping pressure allowing you to avoid putting a load on the bearings in the idlers. These original 10mm long cap head screws need to be replaced by 25mm cap head screws.
