I was at a gaming club meet over the weekend, and my friend's Skaven took another hit - his jezzail got destroyed again! He was ranting about how ridiculously expensive they are compared to how many people want to use them. The funny conversions people do to make their own is pretty amusing too, I guess when you have a hammer everything looks like a nail. Luckily, I've got a 3D printer so I started searching on thingiverse for a design to print and stumbled upon VidovicArts' original work. Since I'm a perfectionist, I decided to play with his design a bit by adding more detail to the gun using Harrowtale's Miliatia Gunner flintlock mechanism and added a bunch of rivets, expanded the bands around the furniture and redid the scope to look older and more like an antique brass telescope. I also tweaked the shield with more rivets and created a notch for the gun at the top, flipped the logo the right way round, made the head bigger because I love my ancient Skaven models with their wide heads. Plus, I was inspired by old metal Skaven bandoleers of powder charges so I made my own bottle/pouch and added a bunch around his waist. Hope you like my version. Edit: just remembered about the belt buckle logo so flipped that too and poked out one of the shield logos a touch more. Also did a test print at 0.12 layer height, with line supports and it prints great.
