Rasteri SC1000 Digital Scratch Controller
thingiverse
This is a collection of 3D-printable parts for the enclosure of the SC1000 by Rasteri, an open source digital scratch controller. The files and renderings were created by me. I recommend not ordering these files from a service or going through much trouble to have them made, as the side text panels require print stops and filament changes to match the case details. If you have a desktop printer, go ahead and give it a try! Rasteri's SC1000 Github page with BOM and instructions is available at https://github.com/rasteri/SC1000. The goal of these files is to refine Rasteri's prototype by adding a mount for the bearing, screw holes for the Innofader Mini Plus, and a better jog wheel design. This is a work in progress, and I'm constantly improving it! Please note that the jog wheel needs to be conductive to get the capacitive touch to work. I've made some updates recently: On 15/12/18, I added the top plate and adjusted the screw holes on the "aluminium" bar. On 16/12/18, I added the bottom plate with slots for rubber feet (available at eBay). On 17/12/18, I added the top plate without the raised platter. On 18/12/18, I fixed an error where screw holes were missing from the bottom of the "aluminium" bar. On 19/12/18, I reuploaded all files with adjustments and added a support column to the top plate with matching screw holes on the bottom plate. I also deepened the screw holes on the aluminium bars for better results when tapping. On 21/09/19, I completely redesigned the case and uploaded new files. On 29/09/19, I added a model file of the top case without text on the sides for fast and easy printing. Please note that the dimensions on these files may be off. Here's a list of fasteners and accessories you'll need: Threaded inserts: - The case uses 11x M3x6mm inserts - The bearing holder uses 4x M3x3mm inserts Bolts: - 15x M3x5mm countersunk hex flat head screws - 6x M3x14mm countersunk hex flat head screws - 2x M3x6mm countersunk hex flat head screws (for the Innofader) Nuts: - 6x M3 nuts Rubber feet: - Self-adhesive rubber feet 12.7mm x 12.7mm x 5.8mm (available at eBay) Stand-offs: - M3 brass hex female 5mm Instructions: 1. Print the case and all parts. 2. Clean the prints, then glue the text inserts. 3. When printing the text inserts (BEEP, AHHH, FUNKY, FRESH, SC1000), pause the print and change filament to match the case color. 4. In PrusaSlicer, add pauses at layer height 18 -1.05mm for the side panels and "SC1000". 5. Add pauses at layer height 38 - 2.05mm for the back plate.
