Rastar Mustang GT500 - Servo Steering

This is a revised version of my Rastar D90 steering kit, modified to fit seamlessly into the front of the Rastar GT500. Installation instructions remain the same; check out the D90 page for a video tutorial that serves as a great reference point for the GT500 installation process. Photos will be added in the near future. The modified steering kit mounts securely using two self-tapping screws provided with the model, requiring only a few minor components to function optimally. SLEC ball ends: SL072-S (available at http://www.slecuk.com/balsa-wood/Minature-clipable-ball-link-6-per-Pkt-SL072_S.html) * M3x6 screw * 2 x M3x8 screws * 15mm M2 threaded rod Alternative Tamiya parts: * 4mm cups (0445563) * 4mm balls (50590) The installation process is largely straightforward, with only a small amount of plastic needing to be removed from the chassis. Once you've fitted the adaptor to the sliding linkage, it becomes clear what needs to be removed. The ideal distance between the centers of the ball cups should be 20mm. For added stability and durability, consider printing the adaptor with 100% infill. For the other components, 35% infill is more than sufficient. Lastly, note that the main mount is designed to fit onto the chassis in its correct orientation according to the STL file; however, it's significantly easier to print if you flip it upside down!
