Rastar LandRover Defender - Servo Steering

This kit of parts replaces the stock steering gearbox and clutch on the Rastar LandRover Defender. It mounts using two of the self-tapping screws from the model and requires a couple of other minor components to get it working. Slec ball ends: SL072-S (http://www.slecuk.com/balsa-wood/Minature-clipable-ball-link-6-per-Pkt-SL072_S.html) M3x6 screw 2x M3x8 screws 15mm M2 threaded rod Alternative Tamiya parts: 4mm cups 0445563 4mm balls 50590 For the most part, it's a simple direct fit. A small amount of plastic needs to be removed from the chassis, and it's pretty obvious what's in the way once you fit the adapter to the sliding linkage. The distance between the centers of the ball cups should be 20mm. It's also not a bad idea to print the adapter with 100% infill. 35% is more than enough for the other parts. The main mount is the right way up for fitting to the chassis in the STL file, but it's a lot easier to print if you flip it upside down! Until I can take some photos, the best way to see how it all fits is to check out the linked video. The first few minutes cover the servo mount. https://youtu.be/nsB0l9NMyWE (Video goes live on 5th May at 13:30 BST if you're wondering why it's not working...)
