This is my blueprint for the shovel component of the lunar ascent robot, weighing in at a total of 3 kg and boasting a substantial storage capacity of 24 liters, making it an ideal setup for excavation duties. To ensure that this system runs with minimal downtime for maintenance, I've opted for a robust design that will withstand the rigors of its intended environment. Specifically, I'm proposing the use of 0.6mm titanium sheeting, renowned for its exceptional resistance to abrasion and corrosion - a winning combination that significantly boosts overall reliability by minimizing potential equipment failures. This setup can be fabricated using either a 3D printer or traditional sheet metal techniques. Some critical measurements regarding the rigolite's compression within the cavity have been included below. I look forward to receiving feedback on my design, which will undoubtedly help me refine and improve it further. Many thanks for this chance to showcase my work!
