The device runs on a 12-volt input and features an LM2596 voltage step-down for the Raspberry PI 3. It's very portable and can use either the 7-inch monitor or connect to any display. The setup allows it to run on an 11.1v RC battery. Additionally, I've set it up so that my solar controller can be plugged in, running it off a 30-watt solar panel as seen in the link above. The HDMI used was a bit tight, but I have a 90-degree angle one available. Overall, it works pretty well.
