Rasps for plastic parts
thingiverse
Rasps (coarse files) are provided for cleaning your reprap plastic parts. Initially, I utilized bolts and threaded rods for this purpose; however, they caused discomfort to my hands. Hence, handles were designed for these tools, inspired by screwdriver handles that fit comfortably in the hand. These handles can also be used as file handles. At first, I printed them flat but later switched to printing four smaller handles simultaneously while standing up, eliminating the need for a raft. This approach allowed the handles to cool before the next layer was applied. To use them, print several and attach bolts and/or threaded rods. The large handle is solid and suitable for an 8mm rod or 5/16 inch rod scrap. The smaller one is hollow, enabling the insertion of long bolts from inside with a washer/nut holding them in place. I have successfully used a 6-32 and a 3mm.
