I designed this as intemediate project for my bar-top arcade. However it turned out much more work than I expected. So I like to share for you to learn and remix. I used Blender for that, mostly because I am fluent with it and wanted to try if I can and wether I would hit some roadblocks. It was close :-) I uploaded a cleaned up version of the Blender File! WORK IN PROGRESS! Please don't complain! The construction uses MANY Boolean Modifiers. On slow machines it can take some time to re-calculate. Work in progress! There are issues, especially on the game pad holder, check twice with your game pad You will need most likely have to edit something depending on the actual hardware you use (starting at switches, connectors etc.) Print instructionsComputer Print Settings Printer Brand: Prusa Printer: Prusa Mk2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.15x0.4 Nozzle Infill: Octogon and Octagram for top/bottom Notes: See notes for "poor mans color printing" Export Cover_Top together with the "Zierde" Object which will fill in the circular sections. I did it this way to do a poor mans color print, separating the parts in my slic3r an then print first the "Zierde" and than the Cover_top on top :-) printing it with just one filament will also work and gives a nice effect also. Of course flip the part(s) in the slicer! How I Designed This Instructions: The construction uses MANY Boolean Modifiers. On slow machines it can take some time to re-calculate. Work in progress! There are issues, especially on the game pad holder, check twice with your game pad You will need most likely have to edit something depending on the actual hardware you use (starting at switches, connectors etc.) there is a funny mix of german and english object names, sorry, even many funny typos try to change the view left to "Rendered" using SHIFT-Z over the view. Wait some seconds for a rendered look Export these parts: Cover_Top together with the "Zierde" Object which will fill in the circular sections. Of course flip the part(s) in the slicer! Cover_Bottom should be straight forward. export and print the "Halter" (holding the game pad in place)* print the volume wheel "LS_Rad"
