Raspi Relais Box
thingiverse
This case has been designed to accommodate 1x Raspberry Pi zero, 1x double relais and 1x XL4015 step down module. That way the whole setup can be used to control 2x 12V devices and power the raspi with a single 12V charger. It is an hybrid concept as the file for the cover only includes the frame. The frame includes inserts for straight cuts of 4mm plywood. The case and cover nicely fit together, but for added strength 10x2mm magnets can be glued on both pieces. The case includes 3 holes for DC sockets (1x IN and 2x OUT) and one for 1x rotary encoder. I also included holes at the back to fix the box on a wall and also a hole to pass a ribbon cable for the camera or other connectors through the back. I created this design to control my plant watering and lighting. One of the 12V output will be connected to a water pump and the other one to an LED stripe. To be able to control the settings directly on the device I took a minimalist approach and added a tiny SSD1306 oled display. The navigation will be entirely done through the rotary encoder that also includes a click button. To cut the hole for the oled into the plywood I first grinded about 2mm with a router and then cut the hole with a cutter. I crudely attached the display with a hotglue gun (after displaying some text to center it) but it does the job. To make it look cleaner I also a bezel that can also be 3d printed. Even if you intend to use other components you should be able to use this design as the holes and support feet can easily be altered with a compatible cad software. ### BOM - 1x Raspberry Pi Zero - 1x XL4015 5A Stepdown converter - 1x 2Channels Relais module (that can be triggered with 5V) - 1x Rotary Encoder (I personally use an EC11 that fits in a 7mm wide hole) - 3x 5.5x2.1 DC Power sockets (you could also get 5.5x2.5 sockets, depending of the plugsize of your power adapter) - 8x round 10x2mm magnets - 10x M2.5x8 screws - 10x M2.5 nuts - 8x pieces of 4mm thick plywood (20mm x 107mm) If my design helped you please consider buying me a coffee or at least giving me a "like". That would really mean a lot to me and validate all the time spent creating free designs. [](https://paypal.me/niels1303)
