<p>I created this Raspi printserver HP MIO slot card for my old Designjet 750c <br>to substitute the RJ45 printserver with a wireless option<br><br>power comes from the internal MIO connector 5V pins <br>data connection is done via USB to parallel cable</p><p>I think the RPi3 internal wifi will not work well inside the printers metal case</p><p>better use external USB wifi to get the antenna outside of the case</p><p>you will need </p><ul><li>to salvage (cut) the 48pin connector from the old print server card</li><li>2x 2.8x5 self tapping screws for mounting the connector</li><li>4x 2.8x9.5 self tapping screws for mounting the rpi</li><li>RPi 2 or 3</li><li>USB wifi dongle </li><li>USB to parallel cable<br> </li></ul><p>using PLA gives more rigidity for plugging the card into the slot</p><p>you will do this modification at your own risk!</p><p>have fun!</p><p> </p>
