RaspberryPi camera arm
thingiverse
This is part of a group of things I am creating for my CR10S. It should work on just about anything though. I love how time-lapses look when the camera moves with the bed, but I needed something more substantial to keep up. The floppy ribbon cable was also getting on my nerves, so I made a channel through the middle with gentle slopes at each end - now it's easy to push through. As I said, I wanted this to be rock-solid, so I drilled a hole in the aluminum plate that carries the build plate. If you're not keen on this base, no worries - you could easily make a different one. I made the front hole smaller and adjusted the standoff tolerances. The original hole was sized for inexpensive wide angle lenses designed for phones, but it turns out they weren't necessary at this distance. I decided to keep the weight down to help with shaking, so I might revisit the camera case design later. I used two arms, but you could use more - they're modular like that.
