RaspberryPi 2 and B+ Case with magnets
thingiverse
I designed an upgraded version of the Raspberry Pi Case featuring magnetic attachment. This updated design is based on my previous A+ case model, which can be found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:580757. To secure the RPi in place, I utilize two 2.5mm screws positioned within the bottom shell of the casing. These screws directly engage with the plastic component, eliminating any loose hardware from appearing on the outside surface. Before tightening the screws, I ensure that each hole aligns perfectly with the screw threads by carefully drilling them using a 2.2 mm drill bit. For secure attachment between the top and bottom components, four magnets are used. As a result, there are no visible fasteners or any other hardware on the outside surface of the case. Each magnet is characterized by its diameter of 4mm and height of 4mm. I obtained these specific magnets from supermagnete.de with part number S-04-04-N
