Raspberry + Switch mount

Raspberry + Switch mount

Well... if you're looking for a way to mount a Raspberry Pi and a network switch, such as an Unifi switch 8 in my case, this is one fun way to do so. The Raspberry Pi has a POE hat that gets its power from the switch, leaving only USB and UTP ports accessible. The critical switch dimensions are 100mm x 30mm, with plenty of air ventilation available. I added button caps as an optional addition, which protect the Raspberry Pi and add to the overall look - just be sure to use glue to keep them in place. There are a total of three mounting points: one on the left side and two on the right side. I use normal wood screws to hang this from the wall. The top covers are held on by four M3 30mm socket heads (shorter ones will work with a minimum of 20mm). If you're wondering why there are two holes in the right side bottom, it's to feed a T-warp through and act as a strain relief for the power cable.
