Raspberry & SSD enclosure
cults3d
I was completely stumped by the performance of SD Cards in my Raspberry PI setup. But then I discovered that it's entirely possible to boot a Raspberry 3B or 3B+ from a USB drive, as outlined here: https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/hardware/raspberrypi/bootmodes/msd.md. So, I set out to create a custom casing for my Raspberry and an SSD. My goal was to house the Raspberry Pi 3B with a 120G SSD, and now my 3D-print server is up and running smoothly on this configuration. I based my design on https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1015706 - kudos to the creator for coming up with such an excellent design.
