The settings on this machine will need to be altered prior to printing a project. Click the option that says "Print Settings". A dialog box will then appear on the screen listing various preferences to adjust. Selecting any one of these preferences will allow it to be changed, such as altering the brand or type of printer being used. MakerBot and MakerBot Replicator 2X are listed below for options to pick from if the settings need to be switched over to another device that prints things. Switch to Printer ---------------- 1. Print with different MakerBot Device. 2. Alter existing print settings without using different printers. Changing Other Settings in Order To Get Better Printing Results ------------------------------------------------------------- * Choose "Rafts": Select a raft from the dropdown menu or make adjustments as necessary. No need to worry about adjusting this since any raft is okay by default when the maker replicator 2 x machine starts printing. * Raft options to be set at your disposal **Raft settings** Change: Not Applicable Not Used By Default. * Set Supports, It Does Matter Here: * Click supports. Supports are the base support material you have that can provide additional print surface when the filament becomes exhausted. You would also need to click supports to change their size or shape. There is a box which allows the users to alter support structures by modifying its properties (see screenshot). This gives it much larger space on each of your projects. This dialog box lets you decide whether any new layers that you add will affect other items already printed onto an item as well. When finished, click Save & Apply Changing the settings below may also be done. 1. Alter the Infill Level To make printing faster choose "high speed print". Set it on 'default'. If one layer becomes faulty during the creation process (like for instance your computer's printer head failing) there is nothing to worry about since default does all jobs perfectly!
