Raspberry Pi3 Case for HiFiBerry Amp2
thingiverse
This is a perfect project for a Raspberry Pi 2 & 3. The case has space for a Hifiberry AMP2 amplifier and all the ports are easily accessible. I've carefully hidden the sockets for the amp, making it simple to insert wires and screw them in place from the top holes. The front panel features markings that clearly show which wire should go where. The case also includes standoffs on the bottom and I've added spacers to keep the AMP2 at a safe distance from the GPIO ports, preventing any flexing or damage. The lid is designed with a clip-on mechanism that fits securely in place. To account for 3D printing tolerances, the parts that clip together are slightly smaller, except for the standoffs which can be easily sanded down if needed. One notable feature of this design is the absence of grills or fan slots, allowing for a clean and sleek case. After testing my RPi 2 and 3 with a heatsink, I've found that they run smoothly without any additional cooling, as nothing gets excessively hot. This means that adding grills or fans wasn't necessary. Feel free to modify this design to suit your needs, and if you can, consider tipping so I can show my wife that all the time spent tinkering isn't wasted after all!
