This design was crafted to support multiple Raspi-Cams in my office setup. I've employed a spherical moving component to achieve a broad camera angle range in both horizontal and vertical directions. All components are 3D printed with my Ultimaker 2, utilizing an Olsson block and 0.6mm nozzle, which produces high-quality PLA prints. The design features two distinct front plates to house my two camera modules. One plate is equipped with a Quimat Camera that boasts a switchable day/night IR filter, while the other is a Kuman model without an IR filter. Both cameras have been paired with 3W IR spots featuring brightness sensors for optimal performance. All screws and threads used in this design are metrically aligned, and hex-nuts are strategically placed within pockets to prevent the need for post-print threading. The M3 hex nut is securely fastened atop a threaded 40mm rod, allowing for effortless tightening or loosening of the clamp screw. I rely on the motionEye OS software to manage my camera setup and ensure seamless operation.
