Raspberry PI Zero w/ Camera Holder/Mount

This is a remix/mix of parts from two Raspberry Pi Zero +Camera mounts:
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2285502
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2433291

I'm using it with an AnyCubic i3 Mega, but there is nothing specific for that printer because it attaches with a 3M CommandStrip,

Changes:

I added a socket mount from 79DieselRabbit to RaspberryPI_MOUNTV2 by dktosoch.

I found that the original socket bracket was too flexible when the ball was in place so I made it thicker to put more of the pressure on the socket itself.

I scaled the 5cm ball arm up by 5% to increase friction as per a discussion thread on the original mount. I found that even with the increased friction on the ball and socket, that it would not stay in place once I put the Pi in the mount. Since I don't need the mount to be articulated, I added a couple drops of super glue to each ball/socket once I had it positioned where I wanted for OctoPi.

There may be a better ball and socket design out there, but for now I'm staying with the parts from the two sources.

============= UPDATES ===============
2017-12-31: uploaded a stronger arm with a slightly larger diameter post and reinforcing rib: arm_ball_v2.stl

2018-05-20: New verson of all parts. No photos yet, but this is the one I am using now. The parts that star with "V2-" are for the new version.

==========

Category: 3D Printer Accessories
