Raspberry Pi Zero frame for Einsy Rambo for Pi Camera/Adafruit Cable Extender
prusaprinters

I wanted to be able to use a Raspberry Pi Camera with Octoprint for remote monitoring of my printer using this mount, however the longest compatible FCC cable I could find for the Pi Cam and Raspberry Pi Zero was 30 cm. This is not long enough to allow the printer the full range of motion. After some research I found this Adafruit CSI/DSI Cable Extender and this 45cm Flex Cable that seemed like it would do the trick when combined with the short FCC cable that comes with the Official Raspberry Pi Zero Case.

I remixed the original Prusa cover to include a mounting location for the Cable Extender PCB and included a retaining clip. To use this cover, simply connect the longer cable to one side of the PCB and the short one to the other. Then place it in the cover using the mounting pegs and place a small piece of electrical tape over the PCB (this is necessary to eliminate interference in the video signal). Snap the retaining clip into place then insert the small FCC cable into the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 camera port and attach it to the Einsy board per the original model's instructions. Snap the cover into place with the long FCC ribbon exiting the top between the clips. Route the long FCC cable to the camera as needed and ensure that it doesn't bend or kink during Z movement.

Print Settings:

Prusament PETG
.20 Speed Profile
Supports: None
