I discovered that working with Pi projects can become incredibly complicated when attempting to verify if a design functions properly before soldering it into place permanently. There are numerous projects where I found myself struggling to maintain organization while figuring out wiring, code, and other essential components. Moreover, since the locations where I wanted to test the project might not have readily available power sources, I desired the ability to run off battery power for an extended period, allowing me to try everything out before installing wires or solar panels. To address these challenges, I designed a device that enables designers and tinkerers to assemble Pi Zero projects on a workbench and test them in various locations without requiring USB chargers. Since the Pi header is exposed, a serial connection can be used to manage the device, eliminating the need for Wi-Fi connectivity. This design can also be utilized for permanent mounting if needed, as it features holes for securing it to a wall using screws. This project incorporates Mitzpatrick's "Heavy Duty Mountable 18650 Battery Holder" (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1433232). The following components are used in this project: Qty 4 - M2.5 x 5 screws (hold the Pi to the board) Qty 4: M3 x 5 screws and lock washers (attach wires to battery ends) Qty 12 - M3 washers (space terminal screws and protect battery wires) Qty 1 - Raspberry Pi Zero Qty 2 - 18650 Li-Ion batteries Qty 1 - USB charging puck
