Raspberry Pi Vertical Stand
thingiverse
I'm publishing this ridiculously simple thing, almost too basic to share, but it might just save someone a few minutes of their precious time. For all those wireless Raspberry Pi projects that can get by without any USB connectivity, this tiny gadget is a game-changer. It plugs into two USB jacks and gives the Raspberry Pi 2 or 3 the stability and support it needs to stand upright and rock-solid on its feet. I've got a picture here of a case I'm absolutely obsessed with - it's ultra-slim, just like the one you can find on Thingiverse (Thing #908963). I use this exact same setup for my camera, which is equipped with 'motion' software, and you can clearly see the 160-degree field of view camera perched on the other side. Who knows, maybe I'll even feature it on mark-toys.com someday - but for now, just take a look at how effortlessly compact this solution is!
