Raspberry Pi mounting bracket for Martian Rover

Raspberry Pi mounting bracket for Martian Rover

thingiverse

This is a mounting bracket that fits snugly inside the Martian Rover, allowing a Raspberry Pi to be installed securely and its circuit board held firmly in place. Mounting points for motor speed controllers are also provided, secured with tie wraps, as well as a dual-channel relay board, clearly visible in the picture, and a 5V switch mode regulator positioned under the PI to deliver a stable 5v output from the 7V LiPo battery. A TI LMZ31710EVM board was chosen due to its availability but it's somewhat bulky; smaller alternatives can be found on eBay. One of the relays is driven off the motor speed controller regulator to control power to the Pi by turning it on and off.
