Raspberry pi mount for Two trees sapphire
thingiverse
PLEASE POST A MAKE IF YOU PRINT! UPDATE: Everything is working great! Octprint plays nicely with Sapphire and I can now remotely start and monitor the printer. Really nice upgrade! This is a mount to install a Raspberry Pi under the Two Trees Sapphire printer. It requires no screws or additional hardware. Just unscrew the bed module, remove three spacer pieces, place the mount in position, re-screw everything, and you're done. There's also a spot to hook a LM2596 that will snap into place without screwing. The Raspberry Pi will also snap into place without screwing. I've set the buck converter to 5.35V like the original power supply that came with it (I actually used the wire from the power block to connect Raspberry to buck converter). I also ran a wire from buck to post on the PSU. In order to connect the Sapphire to the Raspberry Pi, you will need a USB module add-on on the board which can be found here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Lerdge-X-Lerdge-K-3D-Printer-Motherboard-USB-Link-Module-Computer-Online-Module-WIFI-Control-Modules/32840208959.html Once powered on, Raspberry Pi works flawlessly and everything is completely hidden and super stable. This won't fall out! If you don't trust the buck converter holder, you can add some hot glue but it shouldn't be required. I also got one of those wires to cleanly connect motherboard to pi: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00GURMTTC Let me know what you think in comments!
