Raspberry Pi Models 3 / 2 / B Plus Stand
thingiverse
To prevent a Raspberry Pi Model B Plus / Model 2 / Model 3 microcontroller from coming into contact with liquids, dust, or metal, mount it on a stand that reduces the risk of damage to the board and makes handling easier. Mount the stand onto a clamshell laptop using ClamShelf. The stand features beveled sides that slide smoothly into the ClamShelf. Air vents in the beveled sides ensure airflow under the circuit board both horizontally and vertically, through the open top and bottom. Guides on the stand assist in positioning the circuit board accurately, while screw holes in the corners enable stacking of multiple stands using #4-40 screws, spacers, and nuts. Instructions: Download and 3D print an STL file to create a base that measures 3 by 4 by 3/8 inch (76.2 by 101.6 by 9.525mm). The space surrounding the mounting hole adjacent to the RJ45 Ethernet connector is tight; secure the Raspberry Pi with four #4-40 by 1/2 inch flat head or oval head machine screws and either four plastic nuts or three metal nuts combined with three plastic washers, along with a single plastic nut.
