The major part of this design is obviously the ubiquitous VESA mount raspberry pi case by 0110-M-P. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:922740

This idea first emerged in the last hot summer when I was trying to keep my Raspberry pi's cool. The magnetic attachment also appealed because it's easy to remove it when required.

The magnetic attachment then was to a radiator which in the summer when the radiator was inactive, offered a large heat sink. But this obviously wasn't going work in the winter. So this idea arose - screws as the magnetic attachment points and stand-offs to give some room behind the pi for some airflow. And it does work well, keeping the SoC temperature below 50℃.

The VESA holes in the case need a slight enlargement to 6mm, with either a drill or negative volumes in the Prusa Slicer. Then the 3mm x 6mm magnets can be super-glued into the mount holes.

The VESA mount points are 75 mm apart, so the next thing to do is drill suitable holes in the wall at those distances. Then plug the holes and screw in some chunky but short countersunk wood screws. The screws I found in my “box-of-screws-that-will-definitely-come-in-handy-one-day” were countersunk 12 gauge x 1 inch, or in metric 5.5mm x 25 mm. The counter sunk screws give nice flat tops and the largish gauge gives a bigger area of contact for the magnets.

The spacers cover up most of the ugliness of the drill holes and screws plus they ensure that the screws are more or less at the same height as well as providing some air space.

The spacers have a countersunk top that corresponds to the screws I used, but I've included the Fusion 360 design file so you change any of the few variables in the design.

Use any filament you like; it takes about 35 minutes to print out the four of them.
