An Adjustable Raspberry Pi Camera Mount for Microscope Use Combines Earlier Design This adjustable Raspberry Pi camera mount for microscope use combines one of my earlier designs (Raspberry Pi Camera Case V3), which is included in the files along with all necessary details. M4 screws, bolts, and nuts are used. The design was frustrating to perfect due to the fact that the camera isn't exactly centered on the circuit board, and the board itself has imperfections. Additionally, there's the possibility of shrinkage after printing. To solve this problem, I made the camera case adjustable so it can be positioned once and left in place. Once the camera is set to the middle position, you can still adjust the whole assembly up or down due to the height of the eyepiece adapter allowing for some flexibility. There's a small oversight in the design: if the microscope eyepiece doesn't fit perfectly, tightening the eyepiece screw will squeeze one end of the rails together making them unusable since they won't be parallel. The Raspberry Pi Camera Case V3 (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2900257) combines earlier design concepts with improved functionality. The camera case/enclosure lid is to be glued on using hot glue, as all parts can be removed if desired. Screw holes are intended for guiding the drill bit when making holes for screws of the desired size and type. The depth is approximately 4mm. Mounting holes on the camera circuit board are Ø 2.1 mm according to design drawings. Screws used in mounting brackets are M4. Camera Case Specifications: - Print time: 44 minutes - Filament used: 2.60 meters of PLA Estimated material cost (PLA): approximately €0.23 (Calculated from a 200m spool with a price of €17.99, or approximately €0.08995 per meter) Mounting Bracket Specifications: - Print time: 56 minutes - Filament used: 3.40 meters of PLA Estimated material cost (PLA): approximately €0.31 (Calculated from a 200m spool with a price of €17.99, or approximately €0.08995 per meter)
