Raspberry Pi holder/mount for Prusa i3
thingiverse
This is a versatile mount that accommodates a Prusa i3 framework, as well as potentially other printers with some adjustments. The design centers around securing a Raspberry Pi in a standard casing, allowing for seamless integration with Octoprint on your Prusa i3 printer. A holder tailored specifically for a Raspberry Pi model B case is included in the STL file, boasting dimensions of 72x28.5 mm to complement a Prusa i3 alu frame with 55 mm width and 6 mm thickness. Additionally, an OpenSCAD file is available for users to generate holders accommodating diverse case sizes and most Prusa i3 frame types by modifying parameters (please consult the instructions for detailed information). The STL file contained here prints a Raspberry Pi model B holder with dimensions of 72x28.5 mm, which fits snugly on a 55 mm wide Prusa i3 alu frame measuring 6 mm in thickness. To ensure optimal results, printing this design using ABS is highly recommended due to its required flexibility for snapping onto the framework securely. Users employing PLA might need to exercise caution when mounting it into place. This holder includes two screw holes but utilizes friction effectively in my setup, eliminating the necessity for securing fasteners. For accommodating other dimensions such as those found on the Raspberry Pi B+ or version 2, simply access the OpenSCAD file and adjust the parameters listed at its start before regenerating a new STL file that can accommodate your unique case/frame configuration.
