Raspberry Pi HAT mounting kit
thingiverse
This are the 3 components for creating a mounting kit for a Pi's Hat. After conducting extensive testing, I successfully created something that is screwable. It works perfectly for me at 0.06 layer height (minimum for my printer), and 100% infill, printed with PLA (other materials could make it even more robust). All the parts are customized from "NUT JOB | Nut, Bolt, Washer and Threaded Rod Factory by mike_mattala", making them easy to modify. My spacer size was 16 mm, and the parameters used were: BOLT ----- type = bolt head_type = socket drive_type = phillips head_diameter = 6 head_height = 3 drive_diameter = 4 slot_width = 0.8 slot_depth = 0 texture = exclude thread_outer_diameter = 2.2 thread_step = 0.6 step_shape_degrees = 45 thread_length = 6 countersink = 1 **non_thread_length = 16** non_thread_diameter = 2 nut_type = normal nut_diameter = 5 nut_height = 16 nut_thread_outer_diameter = 3 nut_thread_step = 0.3 nut_step_shape_degrees = 45 wing_ratio = 0 inner_diameter = 8 outer_diameter = 14 thickness = 2 facets = 6 socket_facets = 6 socket_depth = 3.5 resolution = 0.5 SPACER ------ type = nut head_type = hex drive_type = socket head_diameter = 12 head_height = 5 drive_diameter = 5 slot_width = 1 slot_depth = 2 texture = exclude thread_outer_diameter = 8 thread_step = 2 step_shape_degrees = 45 thread_length = 25 countersink = 2 non_thread_length = 0 non_thread_diameter = 0 nut_type = normal nut_diameter = 5 **nut_height = 16** nut_thread_outer_diameter = 3 nut_thread_step = 0.3 nut_step_shape_degrees = 45 wing_ratio = 0 inner_diameter = 8 outer_diameter = 14 thickness = 2 facets = 6 socket_facets = 6 socket_depth = 3.5 resolution = 0.5 NUT --- type = nut head_type = socket drive_type = phillips head_diameter = 6 head_height = 3 drive_diameter = 4 slot_width = 0.8 slot_depth = 0 texture = exclude thread_outer_diameter = 2.2 thread_step = 0.6 step_shape_degrees = 45 thread_length = 6 countersink = 1 non_thread_length = 16 non_thread_diameter = 2 nut_type = normal nut_diameter = 5 nut_height = 2.5 nut_thread_outer_diameter = 2.7 nut_thread_step = 0.6 nut_step_shape_degrees = 45 wing_ratio = 0 inner_diameter = 8 outer_diameter = 14 thickness = 2 facets = 6 socket_facets = 6 socket_depth = 3.5 resolution = 0.5 If the height you need isn't 16 mm, adjust the value "non_thread_length" for the bolt and "nut_height" for the spacer as required!
