Raspberry Pi front camera mount for Ender 3 Pro
thingiverse
This is a front mount for a Raspberry Pi camera on the Ender 3 Pro. I created this mount because all available designs were side mounts, which provide a poor viewing angle for the printer. With the camera positioned in the front, it captures much more of the print volume than a side mount does. This also gives a clear view of the first layer as it goes down, making it very useful. I added numerous reinforcements to the design to minimize damage from accidental knocks. It features a small slot at the base of the arm for the camera ribbon to pass through and another slot just beneath where the camera is situated, keeping the ribbon cable tightly secured to the design. Installation takes about 5 minutes. To install it, simply remove the bolts holding the belt tensioner in place on the Y axis, then insert screws directly into the new arm. Although the mount protrudes slightly from the front, I find that it rarely obstructs anything because the bed extends nearly as far forward as the arm does. The design requires a M5x25 bolt or longer for installation. While a washer is not necessary, one can be used if desired.
