Raspberry Pi Endstop Plug Aligner

Raspberry Pi Endstop Plug Aligner

I created a helper to ensure my endstop jumpers were properly connected to the correct pins on my Raspberry Pi. I use Octoprint to detect when the filament runs low. This was designed specifically for me, but I am sharing it in case someone else might find it useful. The Makerbot 1.2 style endstop I obtained requires 3.3vdc, ground, and an I/O pin. This necessitates using Pin 1 (3.3vdc), Pin 6 (ground), and Pin 7 (GPIO 4). There are numerous filament endstops cases and mounts available on Thingiverse. I highly recommend verifying that the pins align correctly before connecting the wires to your endstop. (I mistakenly connected the pins in the wrong order once, which caused my Pi to reboot; I was fortunate not to cause any damage.)
