Raspberry Pi case with fan
thingiverse
Modified case top with a recess to accept a 40mm cooling fan that screws in securely, providing a snug fit without any need for glue. The small fan makes a significant difference in running temperatures under load, especially when combined with a small sticky-backed heatsink which drops the temperature by 20degC while running Prime. The print needs support to succeed, so I printed it face-down onto the bed. Using white PETG was just a matter of convenience since it happened to be loaded at the time. I'm going to try printing it the other way up next, as the supports leave an unsightly surface on the outside. Printing it upside down will keep the rough surface hidden inside where it won't be noticed.
