Raspberry Pi case with buck converter and pass through power for 3.5' external
thingiverse
This case is designed for a Raspberry Pi 3B+ but can be modified pretty easily for a Pi 4. The idea is to have one 12v input to the Pi case which is split into a 12v feed for the HDD and stepped down to 5.1v for the Pi. In addition to this, there is also space in the bottom of the case for the excess USB cable that connects the Pi to the HDD.
