Raspberry Pi camera v2 mount and case for Anycubic i3 Mega S spool holder
thingiverse
I wasn't too excited about any of the existing Raspberry Pi camera enclosures since they were too bulky for me. Additionally, I wanted to mount the camera on the i3 Mega S's spool holder since that provides a good angle for monitoring a print in OctoPrint. I therefore took the basic mounting mechanism from Tony84 (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2722833), created a base-plate for the spool holder and a custom case (actually it's more of a faceplate) for the official Raspberry Pi v2 camera. Similarly to Tony84's original design mounting the camera doesn't require any screws as there are four small pins aligned with the camera module's mounting holes. Depending on your print's accuracy mounting the camera module on the face plate might require some slight sanding-down of these pins. I had to print the parts with supports but YMMV.
