Raspberry Pi Camera Ribbon Cable Guide - Ender 3
thingiverse
I decided to use a Pi Camera instead of USB, but was put off by the idea of a loose ribbon cable. To solve this issue, I designed a flexible cable management system for the ribbon cable. Using various parts, you can neatly route your camera cable. Each section pivots 180 degrees. On my Ender 3, I used an excellent Pi case from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3075921 and mounted it upside-down underneath the LCD display. Then, I glued my cable guide to the side of the case. The ribbon cable is routed between the upper and lower case pieces with no modifications required. You can roll up quite a bit of Pi camera cable inside the case so you won't have to guess which length cable you need. My cable is 3 meters long, with most of it rolled up inside the case using a little tape to keep it from unraveling. **Edit 1-15-2019. The above link has stopped working. I've included the files for the original PI case with slight modification for camera cable access. There are two versions of the upper part of the case - one allows for a fan and mounting of an LM2596 DC-DC Converter. I don't use a fan because my Pi doesn't require it.
