Raspberry Pi Camera Mount with Ball Joint for Reprap

Raspberry Pi Camera Mount with Ball Joint for Reprap

thingiverse

A ball joint-equipped mount for Raspberry Pi camera is available, designed to be mounted on a Prusa i2, reprappro, or similar printers. An updated version includes parametric_link.scad that allows you to lengthen the boom arm for the camera and move it away from the bed; you may need to remount your pi or use a longer cable if you do so. Three STL files – link_30, link_40, and link – are provided for different lengths. You'll require 2 M3 12mm screws, 1 M3 20mm screw, and 3 M3 nuts. Choose the CameraFrontLeft or CameraFrontRight file depending on your preferred cable exit side, print two links, and other parts. Insert the camera into the housing, clip it at the back, fit the ball peg into the housing's socket, and attach the ball. If needed, adjust the ball radius in the scad file, re-export as STL, and reprint. Attach the assembled arm to your printer using M3 screws and nuts; this print doesn't require support.
