I revamped Daniel's ingenious design for use with my Wanhao Duplicator i3. I tweaked the clip that fits onto the printer frame, adjusting it to fit the thin edges of the Di3 by narrowing the slot. I specified a gap of 1.5mm, but there was still noticeable slippage. If printing again, I'd consider dropping it down to 1.4. I also aimed to ensure the pi camera was correctly oriented, with its cable emerging from the bottom, thereby eliminating the need to rotate images in software. To achieve this, I incorporated slight indentations on all sides, allowing for the device's seamless attachment regardless of orientation. Using Sketchup, I crafted these designs and included both skp files as well as STLs. For the camera mount, I imported the relevant stl into Sketchup, whereupon I made targeted modifications. The clip, however, was an entirely new creation within Sketchup, forged from precise measurements of my print from Daniel's original design. This modified setup pairs perfectly with a longer pi camera cable.
