A bracket designed to attach a RPi camera to the right front corner of a Printrbot Simple Metal 3D printer featuring heated bed, can be mounted using the following method: No hardware is required for this mount, as two angled clips will secure it in place by slipping under the printer-bed wing. Use tiltArm.stl, caseFront.stl, and caseBack.stl models from Jerware (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:442063) . The layer height of 0.2 mm along with 100% fill proves to work extremely well. This strong build enables clips to bend without breaking and allows for more flexibility in the printing process. The inspiration behind this mount is evident in its relation to other designs (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:442063 and http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:671954), yet it has been created from scratch because past iterations didn't meet requirements, ultimately leading to failure upon attachment. The two-clip approach stands as a strong improvement over slot-based systems due to the clips' ability to bend without breaking under stress while not putting pressure on other areas of the system, allowing for flexible positioning without compromise. Since the Printrbot Simple Metal printer features interchangeable parts (Printrboard, extruder and heater cartridge, etc.), it would be reasonable to suspect this camera mount will function properly. Nevertheless, please note that further evaluation might yield a snug fit only when removing or reinstalling clips to tighten its hold within the 3D printed model of Jerware's Tiltarm. For models not using heated beds (non-heated Printrbot Simple Metal printers) , slightly narrower fits may require adjusting by manually pulling inward while ensuring smooth installation into pre-existing holes for camera attachment, preventing any breakage when securely clipped in.
