This design of mine cleverly conceals most of the ribbon cable, safeguarding it from damage. The ball was slightly loose, so I drilled a .125 dia hole to thread a screw or bolt through it. It turned out to be a bit wider than necessary, allowing for easy customization - you could even lighten it up to suit your preferences. My print job came out perfectly; however, you might consider adding a feature to secure the design firmly to your table and prevent vibrations from affecting its stability.
