Raspberry Pi camera - front mount for Ender 3
thingiverse
This mount is made to clip onto the metal guard over the front of the Y-axis belt. I wanted a stationary camera, capable of viewing the initial layers as well as the finished product. I also wanted it to be simple to print, with very little required supports. The length is sufficient for the bed to move all the way forward, but the model could easily be adapted for similar printers. Print with the clamps facing up and supports turned on for the camera swivel and the vertical bar with round clips. Insert the swivel from the side, with it rotated all the way back. Once inserted, align the tab with the gap and rotate the camera mount forward. The front and back camera pieces should hold together with friction. The slot is for the ribbon cable to pass through. I recommend gluing the two support pieces together, then simply sliding the base over the printer's metal guard.
