Raspberry Pi Camera CCD Lens gopro case
thingiverse
I was unable to locate a suitable GoPro mount for my Raspberry Pi camera (v1) board that could accommodate an M12 CCD style lens mount independently from the housing. I had experienced several problems over the past year with integrated mounts, which resulted in the housing warping and causing focus issues. I discovered that independent M12 mounts performed better, but finding a suitable housing was challenging. Most housings I encountered were not compatible with GoPro mounts. To resolve this issue, I devised a solution. The case consists of two parts: the top and bottom. Both components should be printed in a z-layer height divisible by whole numbers. 0.2 or 0.1mm layers work well, but 0.15mm layers do not. Next, print the M12 mount with 0.1mm layers (or smaller) to accommodate the M12 threads. To assemble the components: Use two M2x4 cap head screws to secure the M12 mount to the board. Remove the lens from your Raspberry Pi first. Insert two M2x6 (or 8) cap head screws through the back of the case, securing it in place with the upper screws. The board will be held firmly between the front and back case, ensuring stability around its perimeter.
