Raspberry Pi Camera Case - Sphere

Raspberry Pi Camera Case - Sphere

I needed a Raspberry Pi camera mount that securely holds the camera board while offering ample room for adjustments. To assemble it, I carefully slipped the camera board with its ribbon cable attached into one of the two sphere pieces and then slid it onto the second one. The design includes provisions for a pair of M3x16 and M3 hex nuts to hold the two halves of the sphere together, but they aren't truly necessary. The camera board itself keeps the two halves in alignment, and the holder proves strong enough to keep them securely attached. For maximum flexibility in adjustments, I use the holder with the vertical hole at the bottom, allowing me to rotate both the holder and the sphere within it. Alternatively, I can use the holder without holes to integrate it into my own custom designs. I've successfully tested this mount with v1 and v2 camera boards.
