Raspberry Pi Camera Adjustable Mount (nozzle view) + X axis strain relief for Prusa Mini - no supports [LEGACY]
prusaprinters
THIS IS A OLD VERSION! new one here!---------------------------------------------------Hi all, i was using another Pi Cam mount for my Prusa Mini but it wasn't adjustable so i made one by myself:This is a Raspberry Pi Camera mount (adjustable nozzle view) with X cable strain relief and motor cover, designed to be printed with no supports. I used a 5MP 1080p Pi cam with 160° FoV lens for a full bed view but i think it can fit any Pi cam (the camera holder itself and the bracket are detachable from the Z motor cover so is easy do to remixes if needed). Some parts required an appropriate calibrated printer, since the tolerance are tight to ensure that the mount won't fall. It's originally designed for Prusa Mini but i think it can fit any NEMA 17 motor, maybe you'll have to do some variations. Print instruction: -Printed in PETG;-3 perimeters;-Variable layer height (max 0.20 mm). the .stl is correctly oriented, just slice and print. What you need:-Pi camera: i used a OV5647 module with 160 ° FoV lens (from AliEx);-3x zip ties;-4x 2.5x6 screws;-1x M3x16 screws;-1x M3 nut. Instructions (see photos):assembly the Pi camera case with 4x 2.5x6 screws;place the supports on the Z motor and secure it (and the X axis cable strain relief) with 3x zip ties;insert the long bar into the two slots;insert the M3 nut into the bracket and join with the Pi Camera cover (maybe you need to push the nut with pliers, then use the M3x6 screw;positionate the camera where you want and secure it, you can slide it up-down and left-right along the slots.NOTE: moving the axes with hands, be sure the camera doesn't impact against the hotend (and the ZX brace if you have one);PROFIT! UPDATE:added a modified camera cover in order to fit Square Pi Camera but should fit the circular too.
