Raspberry Pi Birdbox camera mount
thingiverse
I wanted to rig a Raspberry Pi camera module inside a bird box so I could broadcast live footage from the box online. I chronicled the project here. I deemed it crucial that the camera was sturdily mounted, as I didn't want it to be knocked loose or become detached once birds moved in - adjusting to reattach it wouldn't be feasible. To address this concern, I designed a 3D printed camera mount. It's engineered to hold both the standard Raspberry Pi camera and its IR version, along with a 5mm IR LED secured in place by a bezel. Additionally, I included a small light baffle to prevent the IR LED from casting glare on the camera.
