Raspberry Pi Bed Camera Mount for v2.1 Camera

Raspberry Pi Bed Camera Mount for v2.1 Camera

Update (26-Nov-16) The first design I posted works perfectly for printers without a cooling fan mounted to the extruder. I quickly discovered that my fan knocked the mount off the bed, so I redesigned the mount and arm to attach underneath the bed instead. It still has a snug fit, but the mount actually holds better than the binder clips. I uploaded the new mount and arm. I combined several Raspberry Pi camera designs to create one that works for me and my printer. I used deadsy's awesome camera case for the v2 Pi camera and added holes to attach it to TimOdell's and jlarsenwy's camera bracket. I modified the bed mounting bracket to fit snugly around my MK2a heated bed with 3mm glass. I drilled holes for M3 screws into the bracket, but I recommend using nylon screws to prevent damaging the bed. For now, it's secure without them. You'll need: 4x M3x12 screws to secure the camera housing 1x M3x12 and 1xM3 lock nut to secure the hinge to the arm 2x M3 screws if you want to tighten the bracket to the bed It looks like my printer's camera and extruder will collide at the max-Y position. I might need to revisit this design later and extend the arm. The arm needs additional supports for its angled section. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Geeetech i3 Pro B Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Notes: Everything was printed in PLA. For higher bed temperatures, I recommend using ABS or PETG for the bracket.
