Raspberry Pi B+ / Pi 2 clam shell case

Another Raspberry Pi B+ / Pi 2 case comes with differences that set it apart from other great cases available on Thingiverse: A self-centering clam-shell design ensures light won't shine through gaps, while providing a robust enclosure. There's no lateral space limitation for heat sinks, allowing for optimal cooling. An additional round 5mm hole is provided for GPIO cables to be easily connected. The case combines features from other cases, making it an ideal choice for Raspberry Pi users. The holes are carefully designed with an intentional tolerance of 0.5mm, ensuring a precise fit. Common 10mm M3 screws and nuts provide a secure hold, while longer screws allow the case to be stacked. Two holes are available for light-gathering acrylic rods to be easily inserted. The design allows for easy printing without supports, making it perfect for beginners. An updated version with two M3 mounting holes and 70mm separation is also available. STEP files have been provided for users who want to customize the case by adding their own holes, mounting options, or closing the venting grid. A friendly reminder for Pi owners: be aware of different USB cable types, as they vary in AWG number, which affects copper wire diameter. Cheap cables (around 4€) are often 34AWG, causing a significant voltage drop (0.44V at 500mA and 1m), leaving your Pi with less than 4.6V and possibly operating in low-voltage mode. Post-Printing Tips: Remove all excess filament, blobs, and uneven surfaces from the clam-shell fitting and the eight inner rods to ensure a minimal gap and secure fit.
