Raspberry Pi 7" touchscreen case and mounting

The cost of the Raspberry Pi Touchscreen case from Element 14 is $44, a price that's hard to believe. This is my custom-designed Raspberry Pi 7" touch screen case for my C-Bot style CoreXY printer. All USB ports and the Network port are easily accessible. The USB power port to the display can be accessed through an opening at the bottom of the case. Some bulky micro USB connectors might not fit without enlarging the opening, but it's perfect for the cable I use. There's plenty of room between the Raspberry Pi and the display for a ribbon cable. Jumper wires can also be used to bring 5v power from the display up to the IO port on the Pi. This version doesn't include access to the HDMI and audio ports, as they're not needed in this application. However, I might add those later if there's enough interest. It's worth noting that the horizontal spacing between the tangs at the back of the case is intentionally narrower than the spacing of the slots they snap into. This isn't a mistake - it was done to provide a positive snap-fit for the rear case. The rear part of the case can be removed by applying force towards one side while squeezing the top and bottom of the case. Once one side is disengaged, just slide to the other side and it will come right off. Printer Settings: Printer: Rabbit Fabricating CoreXY RFC-300 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 200 micron Infill: I used 30 percent infill with 4 outer layers. Notes: Your printer needs a minimum printbed size of 193.5mm x 111mm (the dimensions of the Raspberry Pi Touchscreen itself). Run a layer cooling fan for bridges over the USB and ethernet ports. Also, adding some cooling might improve the hooks on the tangs. I designed this in ANSYS SpaceClaim.
