Raspberry Pi 4B Mount for Prusa MK3/S (Octopi/Octoprint)
thingiverse
This item replaces the bottom of a Geekworm Heavy Duty Aluminum case for RPi4, mounting in the back on a Prusa MK3/S frame above an electronic box. The Geekworm Heavy Duty case is a generic, inexpensive aluminum case for the RPi4 designed for passive cooling with its top contacting four chips on the RPi4 board and serving as a large heat sink. This project replaces the bottom of the case with a near-identical design featuring an additional mount for the MK3/S frame, combining the thermal performance of passive cooling aluminum tops with matching integrated mounts at the bottom. The bottom can get quite hot, so I recommend printing it in PETG or a higher temperature material. This part prints without support at 0.2mm layer height and should work with other settings. Two M3x12 screws are required for mounting; M3x10 will work if necessary. Revisions: On June 3, 2020, based on RobobTV's Make and feedback on the little nub next to one of the screws, a 0.8mm lip was added to the two screws closer to the mount to help create a reliable Z-build up around the screws.
