Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Case for CR-10 2020/2040 Extrusion - REMIX
thingiverse
This is a remix of R31L4ND's Raspberry Pi 4 Case which can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4004856. I modified this to allow a 40x40x7mm cooling fan and this required me to modify the case by adding 4mm of height for clearance to the heatsink and the fan wiring pins. You may notice there are two versions of the bottom part of the case, V1 is the original from R31L4ND's case and is what I have shown in my photos. V2 is a modified version which removes the additional 4mm of space added to where the case clamps to the 2020 extrusion. As I had already printed out the original base, I kept it and was satisfied enough to not print out the V2 bottom as it was more than sufficiently clamped from the top. I used 4 - M3X12 screws and nuts for the fan mount, 4 - M3x35 screws and nuts for clamping the two halves of the case together (note make sure you thread the pcb holes before the final fitment to ensure alignment), and 2 M4x8 screws with t-nuts to mount to the extrusion. Edit 2-19-21: I added this fan duct https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4068386 from MakerKJS on my personal print. I had to ream out the holes on the print as they weren't made for M3 Screws. But I like how it helps to protect the intake a bit. Temps have been good as well averaging about 31-35C for the pi4.
