Raspberry pi 3B "UPCycling" Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 BOX
thingiverse
I repurposed a sound card from Focusrite (a faulty one, power layer HS).\r\n\r\nFitted it to the Raspberry Pi 3.\r\nDesigned it to house my OctoPrint server, 12v/5v converter, and switch for controlling the 12v LED light of my printer box, alongside the Raspberry Pi.\r\nAdded a spot for a 40mm fan, naturally, with an air direction feature (ventilation).\r\n\r\n!!! Caution: Short Circuit Ahead !!!\r\nSo use the nylon insert from the sound card to prevent the Raspberry Pi from touching the metal box! \r\n\r\nAdjusted the design to fit the screw holes in the metal box; you can reuse the screws from the Scarlett.\r\n\r\n- Use M3 Screws - No support needed - Raft optional - 15% infill recommended It takes approximately three hours to print each side on average.\r\n\r\nAlso included is a file with the scaled box and blank sides for you! \r\n\r\nGratitude to angrysquirrel for the Raspberry Pi file; you saved me a substantial amount of time!
